Patch 8.23.18[edit | edit source]


  • Treasure: The Season 1 Essence 5 is available. New costumes, emotes and accessories have been updated. When you receive the Poseidon's Crown costume you will also receive the hunter, the Feaster. This character can only be used in quick and custom match modes during the first week;
  • Map: The all-new Lakeside Village map is available. What secrets lie in this unfortunate known village where the villagers mysteriously vanished? Go and find out! During the first week of availability, this map will not be available in rank matches, but can be played in quick and custom games;
  • Free for a limited time: the survivor, Quarterback and the hunter, Soul Weaver are free for a limited time;
  • Battle: Added new UI options for the placement of the stare button when playing against the Geisha;
  • Battle: Adjusted the spawning areas for survivors and hunters to prevent survivors spawning next to hunters at the start of the game;
  • Battle: Slightly increased the preparation time for hunters in the lobby so that they have more time to choose their characters and skills;
  • Battle: Changed the positions of some cipher machines on the Red Church and Hospital maps to prevent the concentration of cipher machines in one area. Also, co-op decoding speed has been appropriately reduced;
  • Battle: Added a surrender function for hunters. When the game has passed the 8-minute mark, hunters can choose to surrender in the settings panel. Should they choose to do so, all survivors in the game will be regarded as having escaped the manor and their points will be calculated according to calculation rules;
  • Battle: Changed the position of the buttons for the 'Dash Hit' and 'Soul Departure' special abilities for the Geisha to avoid unintentionally activating the wrong ability;
  • Battle: Multiple options have been added to the 'Quick Message' system, which can be customized in settings;
  • Battle: A new attack assist option has been added to settings. When turned off, hunters will no longer automatically turn towards survivors when attacking;
  • Battle: Survivors rise to their feet in sprint mode after being incapacitated;
  • Battle: Modified deduction points for survivors: the ratio for Bravery points has been increased; points for pursuit and fearlessness have been increased; stunning hunters are counted as persistence points; points for decoding and escaping have been reduced;
  • Battle: Reduced the density of Jack's fog in areas affected;
  • Rank match: Added tier settlement reward. When a season has ended players that played in at least 10 ranked match will receive corresponding rewards according to the highest tier they reach during the season. S1 end time: Sep. 13 (before maintenance);
  • Chat: Portrait and portrait frames have been added to chat;
  • Settlement: the progress of deduction quests will not be shown on the settlement tab should a player quit a game;
  • Settlement: 'Like' function now available. You can like other players on the settlement page. The total amount of likes a player receives is recorded in their profile;
  • Name change: The cooldown period after changing your name has been changed from 30 days to 7 days;
  • UI: Adjusted the expression of getting repetitive things. The animation of transforming into fragments will only be played after you click the “quit” button.
  • Graphics: Modified graphics quality on maps, addressing the issues of freezing and phones heating up;
  • Graphics: A emote has been added for the Geisha's Bride costume on the display screen. The display of the 'falling butterfly' accessory for the prajna form has been added. New sounds for the emotes of the peacock costumes has been added on the display screen;
  • Graphics: Emotes have been added on the display screen for the Gamekeeper's Punk and Goldsmith costumes;
  • Graphics: Optimized beating heart prompt for the Mind's Eye character;
  • Graphics: Improved the collision of pillars at the entrance of the Hospital to avoid getting stuck when hugging the pillar as players move.
  • Graphics: Added special sound effects for Mr. Whiskers;
  • Graphics: Optimized the appearance of some character costumes.

Bug Fixes:

  • Repaired an issue where in some situations there would be a delay in players entering battles due to the game lagging and repaired an issue where some players with lagging devices would spawn next to hunters;
  • Repaired an issue where a player's attempted vault through the one-way window on the Sacred Heart Hospital map would possibly fail whilst using stare;
  • Repaired an issue where the Coordinator is unable to hit Jack with the flare gun when she is in the fog and he is outside the area of fog;
  • Repaired an issue where survivors who struggle free after a hunter is struck with a pallet cannot be hit with fog strike;
  • Repaired an issue where players may accidentally open a chest or locker when navigating the screen;
  • Improved the graphics of the teleport trait;
  • Repaired an issue where there would be abnormalities when female characters used the flashlight;
  • Modified the layout of the frame rate prompt in battles to avoid affecting controls;
  • Repaired an issue where the Gamekeeper is unable to hit survivors with his chain hook that are vaulting or pushing pallets;
  • Repaired an issue where the icon for the hunter talent, Hindsight, doesn't display the number of layers;
  • Repaired an issue where prompt arrows don't disappear after a player that has been eliminated or has escaped enters the game as a spectator when the prompt arrow for 'Chill' is displayed;
  • Repaired an issue where Hell Ember can use teleport when puppets are flying;
  • Repaired a bug where players trying to get unstuck from the barrel in the house on the Arms Factory map can enter the barrel;
  • Repaired a bug that caused puppets controlled by the Mechanic to teleport after opening a locker;
  • Repaired an issue where the Mercenary would become stuck after using Iron Dash;
  • Repaired an issue where parts of the map would disappear when Smiley Face players rejoin the game after becoming disconnected;
  • Repaired an issue where multiple characters can vault windows simultaneously;
  • Repaired an issue where the special visual effects for some costumes would disappear after entering or exiting a locker;
  • Repaired an issue where the game will start to freeze after a hunter uses the Excitement ability;
  • Repaired an issue concerning the disparity between actual survivor traits and their description;
  • Repaired an issue where there would be error concerning the cooldown period for the Smiley Face's Rocket Dash ability;
  • Repaired an issue where hunters are able to hit survivors on the other side of a rocket chair with a survivor fastened to it when performing a regular attack.
